“I have worked with Julie on many projects, all of which have been for a general audience. She makes complex information accessible. Often, Julie has provided helpful suggestions for the project overall. Best of all, readers want to dive into her pages because they are so beautiful.”

—Faith Schantz, Writer/Editor, Winner, Association of Educational Publishers Distinguished Achievement Award, Educational Press Association of America Distinguished Achievement Award

“I’ve worked with a number of graphic designers over the years, and Julie is one of the best.  Besides knowing how to make things look good, she has a special knack for getting to the core of the communication goals that the work is intended to achieve.  She also knows how to do just what’s needed and not go overboard.  I like to call her the Goldilocks of graphic design – not too much, not too little, but just right.”

—Les Landes, Owner, Landes & Associates

Julie has been wonderful to work with. The logo she designed for Forward Fitness is amazing. She really listened to what we were looking for and made it a reality. She continues to do amazing work with materials we send out to our clients and other professionals. We receive compliments on our materials all the time. From our email template and Powerpoint template to our website and handouts, Julie really helped us to brand our company. She puts a lot of thought into her work and make professional suggestions as needed. She is invested in helping us excel as a company. I highly recommend Julie for any of your graphic needs!

—Suzanne Klaus, Owner, Forward Fitness

For nearly a decade, I used Julie as our contract graphic designer. Her skill set is beyond reproach and she always delivered on-time and on-budget. She’s designed everything for me from various print materials, outdoor billboards (static & digital), TV screen graphics, digital ads, website graphics plus promotional items and more. Although my creative direction could be very vague at times, Julie always hit the mark with options to select from. She asks the right questions so her deliverables are on target from the beginning. No wasted time, energy or resources. Once she’s done just one project for you … you’ll realize she’s a keeper and will be the one you go back to over & over & over again!

—Julie Kruempel, Director of Marketing & Communications for Dance St. Louis

“Julie Ridge is an outstanding creative design professional. She helped us develop the graphic identity of our annual report to the community and worked with us through every aspect of publication at all hours of day and night each year. She always looks for ways to do things smarter and to make the work better. We are grateful for her outstanding work for nine years.”

—Carey Harris, Executive Director, A+ Schools

“We began working with Julie Ridge in 2007 during our first marketing and re-branding campaign. Julie’s role in that effort was to re-design our print newsletter. We realized that Julie’s style really meshed with our aesthetic and we found ourselves coming to Julie for other design assistance whenever something came up, in addition to the quarterly newsletter which Julie produced for us for 6 years.

In 2013, we decided it was time to re-brand completely and this time, the decision about who to work with was easy—Julie Ridge. Julie’s collaborative nature made it easy for us to work with her over several months to create a whole new look for our organization, from business cards to signage to a style guide to vinyl wall decals and more. The most amazing part for us was that this all took place via email.

We’ve worked with Julie on small projects as well as large-scale ones and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.”

—Lisa Pappas, Assistant Library Director, Plainfield Public Library District

I am happy to give a very high recommendation to Julie Ridge as a graphic designer. I am the Education Director at Dance St Louis, and she has collaborated with me for the past several years on Teacher Guides designed to prepare students of all ages to attend our Young People’s Performances, and on Study Guides designed for the middle and high school students in our Dance Education Residency Program.

The challenge on these pieces is to present a great deal of information in a visual format that is exciting, clear, and attractive to young people. The designs for these cross-curricular text booklets typically include a great variety of dance production photos, maps, charts, clip art, etc. Julie has always done a great job of locating these materials and combining them in a lively and unified design. We use these Study Guides and Teacher Guides to help show our board and funders what we are doing in education. In that process, we receive many compliments on Julie’s design work!

I have found Julie to be dependable and hard working, willing to do whatever is needed to meet deadlines, and willing to be flexible when changes in her initial designs are needed. She has worked for Dance St Louis on many marketing and development projects as well.
